Jonny, our Media Account Manager, takes a look at 2025 so far…
We’re now halfway through H2 – and digital growth is still setting the pace.
The latest IAB/AA-WARC data shows UK digital ad spend hit £18.7bn in H1 2025, on track for around £45bn in 2026.
But not all of that growth is just Search and Social. A big driver comes from traditional channels evolving into digital formats – and nowhere is that clearer than with TV.
BVOD revenues are up 15% YoY to more than £1.1bn, now making up 25% of broadcaster ad revenue. BVOD keeps TV firmly in the spotlight, blending digital reach with broadcast credibility.
And it’s not just TV that’s holding its own. According to AA/WARC (via The Media Leader):
- Cinema is forecast to grow +9% in 2025
- Out-of-home: +3.1%
- Radio: +1.2%
The story of 2025 so far isn’t old vs new – it’s how channels are converging to deliver attention, memorability and trust.
