Highlights of Channel 4 Content Showcase

Fabulous day at the Channel 4 Sales content showcase – definitely ‘all together different’.
Wonderful to hear about the up coming shows for 2026 and refreshing to be talking about the content rather than the tech. For me that’s the sizzle, and surely where the money will continue to be, big shows that attract millions of viewers week in week out.
So interesting to listen to Emmett J Scanalan (he of Mobland and Hollyoaks fame) and Katherine Jakeways talk about their up coming drama ‘A Woman of Substance’, definitely on the Smith household watchlist, and absolutely mesmerised by Russel T Davies discussing his new show ‘Tip Toe’ and more. Funnily enough my key takeaway was his advice for new writers ‘no one ever settled down on their sofa and searched for a show about prejudice but everyone loves a good story, and if you have a good story then you cover what ever you want’
It was also good to see the big hitters such as MAFS and Bake Off still pulling in numbers but my personal worry is very little Made in Chelsea chat (i’ve never missed an episode!)
Great job Mark Watts Rak Patel Art Sejdiu thanks for having us.
