With the changing landscape of TV viewing habits, ITV have announced a new platform which will replace and supersede ITV Hub and BritBox called ITV X.

This will be the UK’s first integrated advertising and subscription platform and at launch will boast an impressive 15,000 hours of TV shows, documentaries, blockbuster films and much more. As well as having numerous hours of content readily available, ITV will be streaming the nations biggest events, such as the Love Island final, FIFA World Cup and I’m A Celebrity, live on ITV X as well as being broadcasted on ITV’s channels. So no more missing those big occasions!

ITV X will be a destination for new and exclusive content every week which will then arrive on ITV’s broadcast channels 6 to 9 months later. Examples of the great offerings coming to ITV X are A Spy Among Friends, Feature length final of Plebs, Love Island (available as full series box sets), The OC and One Tree Hill.

As well as the stellar line up above, ITV X will set out to have 500 blockbuster films free to stream in its first year then dropping to a constantly refreshed list of 150 films. On ITV X you will also be able to live stream ITV’s linear channels whilst having access to their constantly evolving pop-up channels such as the True Crime channel, Hell’s Kitchen US and 90’s Favourites. These pop-up channels will be a scheduled experience through the streaming service and will see regular updates every week.

Until the launch of ITV X later in the year, ITV Hub will be the digital home for ITV with plans to scale up the amount of content on the platform leading up to the launch of ITV X.
