We are delighted to have signed up to the MacMillan Longest Day Golf Challenge which is a fantastic fund raising initiative designed to test even the keenest golfer’s endurance levels.

On Friday 17 June at Cumberwell Park Golf Club in Bradford on Avon, Stuart Smith (Media Director), Leigh Robinson (Commercial Manager), James Thompson (Media Manager) and Simon Radcliffe (Head of Studio) will be using all of their strength, powers and drive to overcome 72 holes, over 300 shots and a 20 mile plus walk to raise what we hope will be in excess of £4K to support MacMillan.

Aiming for an early start at 5am, the guys aren’t expecting to finish the Challenge much before 10pm in the evening.

Stuart says, “The reason we are doing it is simple – we all know people who are affected by this truly rubbish disease and we want to help them and their families… and let’s face it our knees are not strong enough to do a Marathon. This is our Marathon. To non-golfers this may sound like a nice day out but regular players will know that this is a huge challenge.

“Four rounds of golf in a day is incredibly tough…the most any of us have ever done is two in a day which is hard enough. As a business we enjoy supporting charities and hold our own annual golf day in support of CLIC Sargent for clients and partners but as a physical challenge this is on another level. We urge local businesses to dig deep and donate in support of this brilliant cause”

Last year saw almost 2,000 heroic teams across the UK sign up to play 72 holes in one day, and raise over £1 million for people affected by cancer.
